Removing Contractors

Remove a contractor from an event while preserving their work history.

Sometimes you need to remove a contractor from an event — they may have finished their portion of the work, been reassigned, or joined by mistake. Signplanr handles removal as a soft operation so you never lose work history.

How to remove a contractor

  1. Open your event and click the Contractors tab.
  2. Find the contractor you want to remove.
  3. Click the three-dot menu next to their name.
  4. Select Remove from Event.
  5. Confirm the removal.

The contractor immediately loses access to the event. They no longer see it in their contractor app.

What gets preserved

Removing a contractor does not delete any of their work:

  • Photos they uploaded remain attached to the signs.
  • Status changes they made are preserved in the sign history.
  • Comments they left on signs stay visible.

This means your audit trail and installation records remain intact even after the contractor is removed.

If the contractor joined via an access code, removing them prevents access to this event but does not affect their Signplanr account or access to other events.

Re-adding a removed contractor

If you need to bring a contractor back, send them a new email invitation or share a valid access code. Their previous work history is still linked to their account.
