Using Access Codes

Share a unique access code link so contractors can join your event without an email invite.

Access codes give you a shareable link that any contractor can use to join your event. This is useful when you are working with a large group, distributing access at a briefing, or when you do not have individual email addresses upfront.

How to generate an access code

  1. Open your event and click the Contractors tab.
  2. Click Access Code.
  3. Signplanr generates a unique link containing a UUID-based code (e.g. https://app.signplanr.com/join/a1b2c3d4-...).
  4. Copy the link and share it with your contractors — via email, messaging apps, printed handouts, or any channel you prefer.

Contractors who visit the link are prompted to sign in or create an account. Once they do, they are added to the event automatically.

Access codes are UUID-based, making them resistant to brute-force guessing. Only people who receive the link can join.

Revoking an access code

If you need to stop new contractors from joining via the code:

  1. Go to the Contractors tab.
  2. Click the three-dot menu next to the access code.
  3. Select Revoke.

Revocation only prevents new joins. Contractors who already joined through the code keep their access to the event. To remove an existing contractor, see Removing Contractors.

Generating a new code

After revoking, you can generate a fresh access code at any time. The old link remains inactive.
