If your project's signs are already marked on the architectural or wayfinding plans, Signplanr can now read the drawing for you — upload the plan as a map, click Detect signs from plan, and AI proposes a plotted placeholder sign for every marked location.
Reads the drawing like you do — the AI reads your plan's legend, sign label chips, and symbols to find every marked sign location.
Review-first, always — detections arrive as proposal pins on the map. Drag to adjust, rename, untick, and map detected categories to your sign types. Nothing is created without your approval.
Named from your drawings — approved signs are created already plotted and named with the drawing's own sign codes, ready for artwork and details.
Duplicate protection — detections near signs already on the map are flagged and unticked by default, so re-running a detection won't double up.
Ideal for fixed-infrastructure projects — buildings under construction or fit-out where every sign already lives on the drawings.
AI plan import is available on Business (20 analyses per month) and Enterprise (custom quota) plans. See Detecting Signs from a Plan in the Help Centre to get started.
Two-factor authentication & SAML SSO
Two security upgrades for larger teams are live today: two-factor authentication with trusted devices, and SAML single sign-on. Both are configured by your organisation owner from settings — no support ticket required.
Two-factor authentication (Business & Enterprise) — protect your account with a 6-digit code from any authenticator app. Set up in about a minute from Account → Security, with 10 one-time backup codes for lost-phone days.
Trust this device for 30 days — tick one box at the 2FA prompt and that browser skips the code for a month. Review and revoke trusted devices any time from your security page.
Require 2FA for your organisation — owners can make two-factor mandatory for every member, with a 7-day grace period, automatic reminder emails, and a live view of who's enrolled. Contractors in the field are never blocked.
SAML single sign-on (Enterprise) — connect Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, or any SAML 2.0 identity provider and your team logs in with corporate credentials. First-time logins join your organisation automatically with the role you choose.

Require SSO — optionally block password login for your company's email domains entirely, so access is governed by your identity provider alone.
Superadmin-assisted recovery — locked out with no backup codes? Support can verify you and reset 2FA safely.
Full guides are in the Help Centre under Security & Access. 2FA is available on Business and Enterprise; SAML SSO on Enterprise.
Surveys on maps & survey jobs
Surveys now live on your event maps alongside signs, and related surveys can be grouped into a job — one visit a contractor picks up, with everything they need to arrive prepared.
Plot surveys on any image or geo map — drag the pin to fine-tune it, and toggle the survey layer on or off. Highlight a job and its surveys light up and number across the map: the day's route, made legible.
In the field, contractors can set a survey's exact position by dragging the pin or dropping it on their current GPS location (when you allow it per event).
Survey jobs — group related surveys into one visit with rolled-up status and progress.
One brief, all the detail — customer, site address, site contact, scope of works, and safety notes captured once, with tap-to-call and directions for whoever's on site.

Schedule the release — hold a job back until a future date so it only appears to the contractor when the work is ready. Due dates cascade to the surveys inside.
Construction-site inductions — flag a job as a construction site and contractors must read your site information and acknowledge an induction before starting any survey.
Surveys on maps and survey jobs are part of the Site Surveys add-on.
Bulk editing, sign copies & photo export
A big week of improvements aimed at the moments when you're managing dozens or hundreds of signs at once. Faster duplication, bulk editing, organiser-side photo uploads, and a new photo export — all live now.
Create up to 100 identical signs in one go — define how many of that sign you need installed and we'll create that many separate signs, each with its own number, artwork, photos, and status.
Duplicate any sign in two clicks — straight from the map or from the sign's detail page — when you need one more just like it.
Bulk Edit on the Signs list — select any number of signs and update sign type, dimensions, mounting, material, due date, or custom field values in a single action.
Bulk Replace Artwork — upload one file and apply it to every selected sign at once. Particularly handy after creating a batch of identical copies.

Organisers can now upload installation photos directly from the desktop portal — useful when contractors send photos through other channels, or when you're documenting a job yourself.
New Photo Export — generate a ZIP of every install photo on an event, with a dedicated Exports page, nav entry, and progress toast. Available on Business and Enterprise.
Max photos per sign raised from 8 to 12 across all plans (1 main + up to 11 angles).
Link event reference documents to signs — attach a master event-level document (site map, brand guidelines, install spec) once and link it to as many signs as you need, without making per-sign copies. Available on Pro and above.
Sign number labels on the map now follow the sign — rotate a pin to match which way the sign physically faces and the number stays oriented with it, so it's still easy to read at a glance.
Faster filtering when exporting — quickly search and pick the sign types or contractors you want included, instead of scrolling through long lists.
Plus the usual round of small improvements and fixes across the app. Plan availability noted on the items above; Copies, Duplication, Bulk Edit, Bulk Replace Artwork, organiser photo uploads, and the 12-photo limit are available on every plan including Free.
Due dates on signs & surveys
Due dates are now live on signs and surveys. Set an optional install-by or complete-by date and we'll surface what's overdue automatically — no separate spreadsheet, no extra tab to check.
New Due date field on every sign and survey, with quick-pick chips for event start, event end, and +1 week.
Overdue, Due today, and Due-this-week badges on lists, detail pages, and the contractor mobile app.
New Overdue / Today / This week / This month / No due date filters on the signs and surveys tables, plus a sortable Due column.
Bulk-set or clear due dates from the signs table. Available in CSV import and export — round-trip your scheduling in a spreadsheet if you want to.
Contractor app auto-sorts overdue work to the top so the most urgent jobs are never buried.
Due dates are available on every plan, including Free. No new setup required — the field appears wherever you create or edit a sign or survey.
Site Surveys & photo annotation
We're excited to announce that Site Surveys and Photo Annotation are now live in Signplanr. Before any sign gets produced or installed, someone needs to visit the site, measure walls, check angles, assess materials, and document what's needed. That process usually lives in a separate tool — not anymore.
Create and assign surveys to contractors — they receive them instantly on their phone.
Contractors capture photos, add notes, and annotate with measurements, angles, text labels, and freeform drawing — all from the field.
Six preset colours, 20-step undo/redo, and pinch-to-zoom for precise annotation work.
Once submitted, convert a completed survey directly into a sign record — photos and annotations carry across automatically.
Works offline. Syncs when reconnected.
Site Surveys is available as an add-on for Starter plans and above. Get in touch if you'd like to give it a try.
Three features built from your feedback
We have shipped three new features built directly from your feedback:
Customisable columns on the Signs table — show or hide any column to focus on the data that matters to you. Your preferences are saved automatically.
Status filtering on the Map editor — a new Filter button in the toolbar lets you toggle sign statuses on and off instantly, so you can zero in on what needs attention without leaving the map.
Organisation-wide Contractors view — a new Contractors tab on the Members page gives you a single, searchable view of every contractor across all your events, with the ability to manage access in bulk.
These features exist because you asked for them. We're always listening — get in touch to share your ideas.
Small improvements across the app
We have released a number of small improvements, including:
Adding filtering and ordering of the Signs page.
Adding a dedicated Activity page per event so you can quickly see all updates in one spot.
Reordering the Organiser Portal navigation menu for simpler navigation and creating space for Site Surveys.
Signplanr prioritises improvements directly from customer feedback.
Sign-up email issues resolved
We have resolved an issue where some customers were not receiving email confirmation emails. We have also resolved a separate issue where some customers were receiving an expired authentication link error and an organisation not created error upon sign up. We work with our customers to resolve issues as quickly as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience.
