Deleting Events
Permanently delete an event and all associated data.
Deleting an event permanently removes it and all of its associated data from Signplanr. This action cannot be undone, so make sure you no longer need the event before proceeding.
How to delete an event
- Open the event from the Dashboard.
- Go to Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Delete Event.
- Type the event name to confirm you want to proceed.
- Click Delete Permanently.
What gets deleted
When you delete an event, Signplanr removes everything tied to it:
- Signs — all sign records, custom field values, and status history.
- Maps — all image maps and geo maps, including sign placements.
- Photos — every installation photo uploaded by contractors.
- Contractor assignments — all assignment records and invitation links.
- Reference documents — all event-level and sign-level reference files.
- Comments and announcements — all communication history.
- QR codes — all generated QR code links become invalid.
When to archive instead
If you might need to refer back to the event's data later, archive it instead of deleting it. Archived events are hidden from your active event list but remain fully intact and searchable. You can find archived events using the status filter on the Dashboard.
Go to Settings > Event Status and choose Archived to preserve the event without cluttering your workspace.
Only Owners and Admins can delete events. If you don't see the delete option, check your role under Organisation > Members.
