Printing QR codes for your signs lets contractors scan them on-site to pull up sign details instantly. The batch PDF feature generates a print-ready document with labelled QR codes for multiple signs at once.

Generating a batch QR code PDF

  1. Open your event and go to the Signs tab.
  2. Select the signs you want to include by checking the box next to each one. To select all signs, check the box in the table header.
  3. Click the Actions menu and choose Print QR Codes.
  4. Signplanr generates a PDF with one QR code per sign, arranged in a grid layout.
  5. Click Download PDF to save the file.

Print layout and labelling

Each QR code in the PDF is labelled with:

  • The sign number (including any prefix, e.g. "A-042").
  • The sign type name.

The grid layout is designed to fit standard label sheets or plain paper. QR codes are sized for reliable scanning from a comfortable distance.

Print on adhesive label sheets to create stick-on QR tags you can attach directly to sign locations on-site.

Tips for printing

  • Use a laser printer for sharper QR codes that are easier to scan.
  • Print at 100% scale — do not use "fit to page" as it may shrink the codes below a reliable scanning size.
  • Test a scan before printing the full batch. Scan one code from the printed sheet with your phone to confirm it works.
