Due Dates on Signs & Surveys
An optional install-by or complete-by date on every sign and survey, with overdue badges, a sortable column, filter chips, bulk-set, and CSV import/export support.
Released — April 2026
Due Dates
Every sign and every site survey now has an optional Due Date — a date-only deadline that tracks when the work needs to be done.
Set it your way — From the create or edit form, pick a date with the native picker or use a quick-pick chip: Event start, Event end, +1 week, or Clear. Set due dates outside the event window if you want to (pre-event setup, post-event teardown) — you'll get a soft warning, not a block.
See what's overdue at a glance — Sign and survey lists show due-date badges:
- Overdue (red) — past due and not yet complete
- Due today (amber)
- Due Fri 2 May (neutral) — within the next week
- Subtle "Due 12 Jun" for anything further out
When a sign moves to Installed/Approved, or a survey to Submitted/Reviewed, the badge clears.
Filter and sort — A new Any due date dropdown filters by Overdue / Due today / Due this week / Due this month / No due date. The Due column is sortable. URL params persist so you can bookmark a "show me what's overdue" view.
Bulk-set on the signs table — Select rows, click Due Date in the bulk action bar, and set or clear in one go. Every change is logged in each sign's edit history.
CSV round-trip — Both the bulk CSV importer and exporter speak a Due Date column in YYYY-MM-DD format. Common variants like 15/05/2026 are accepted on import; anything unparseable is flagged in the preview, not silently dropped.
Contractor-first sort — On the contractor mobile app, sign and survey lists auto-sort: overdue first, then due-today, then by date, then anything without a date. The most urgent jobs are always at the top.
Available on every plan
Due dates are part of every Signplanr plan, including Free. No new setup — the field appears wherever you create or edit a sign or survey.
