Peak Install Runs Its Signage Installs on Signplanr

Peak Install, the Melbourne-based specialist signage installation company, is using Signplanr to run its installs - giving every crew the site plan, the sign details and the instructions on their phone, and giving the office a live view of what is up and what is left.

Who Peak Install are

Peak Install's line is simple: they don't make signs, they install them. Established in 2020, their 16-strong team carries more than 110 years of collective signage experience and works for signage companies, builders and event agencies across Victoria - from crane-assisted pylons, fascia and illuminated signage to retail fit-outs, automotive showroom rollouts and major events including the Australian Open, the Australian Grand Prix and the Spring Racing Carnival.

When installation is all you do, the job lives or dies on information: which sign, exactly where, fixed how, and by when.

From the install pack to the phone

"Before Signplanr, a job meant printed plans, PDFs and a long trail of emails and texts, and the crew ringing the office whenever something didn't line up. Now every sign is a pin on the map with its artwork, size and fixing details attached. The team open the job on their phone, walk to the pin and get on with the install."

That is the part a generic job-management tool can't do. An install is spatial - a list of 300 rows tells a crew very little, but 300 pins on the plan of the site they are standing in tells them everything.

What has changed

"The biggest improvement is visibility. As signs go up the crew mark them installed and attach a photo, so I can see exactly where a job is at without chasing anyone. At the end we hand the client a complete record of what was installed, where and when. We get fewer calls back to the office, fewer return visits, and new team members get up to speed far quicker because everything they need is right in front of them."

For an installer working to event dates that can't move, that matters. A missed sign found on the day is a quick fix; one found after the crew has left site is a return trip.
