After installing a sign, you upload photos to prove it is in place and looking correct. Each sign supports up to 8 photos: 1 main photo and up to 7 additional angle shots. The organiser reviews your photos and either approves them or requests corrections.

Uploading photos

  1. Open the sign from your sign list or map view.
  2. Scroll to the Photos section and tap Add Photo.
  3. Choose how to add the photo:
    • Take Photo — opens your device camera so you can snap a picture on the spot.
    • Choose from Gallery — pick an existing photo from your device.
  4. The first photo you upload becomes the main photo. Additional uploads are marked as angle shots.
  5. Repeat to add more photos (up to 8 total).

Take your main photo straight-on showing the full sign and its immediate surroundings. Use angle shots for close-ups of mounting hardware, alignment details, or any areas the organiser specifically asked about.

Tips for good photos

  • Lighting — shoot during daylight or ensure the sign is well-lit. Avoid harsh shadows across the sign face.
  • Framing — include the full sign in the frame plus some surrounding context so the organiser can verify placement.
  • Focus — tap the sign on your screen to focus before shooting. Blurry photos are a common reason for rejection.
  • Multiple angles — if the sign has two sides or wraps around a corner, capture both views.
  • No obstructions — make sure people, vehicles, or equipment are not blocking the sign.

Photo limits

Each sign allows a maximum of 8 photos. If you need to replace a photo, delete an existing one first, then upload the new one.

| Slot | Purpose | |---|---| | Photo 1 | Main photo (front-on, full sign) | | Photos 2--8 | Angle shots, close-ups, or context views |

What happens after upload

Once you upload your photos, the sign status can be updated to installed. The organiser is notified and reviews your submission. They will either:

  • Approve — the sign is marked as complete. No further action needed from you.
  • Reject — you receive a note explaining what needs to be fixed. See Resubmitting Rejected Photos.

If you are working offline, your photos are queued and upload automatically when you reconnect. See Offline Mode and Background Sync.
