Creating Your First Event
Walk through creating your first event in Signplanr — from dates to workflow mode.

Events are the core of Signplanr. Each event holds its own signs, maps, contractors, and documents. Here's how to create your first one.
Steps
- From the Dashboard, click Create Event.
- Enter a Name for your event.
- Set a Start Date. The End Date is optional — leave it blank for ongoing events.
- Choose a Workflow Mode:
- Simple — contractors update sign statuses directly.
- Approval — organisers must approve each installation.
- Multi-stage — signs move through multiple status stages.
- Choose an Assignment Mode:
- All — every contractor sees every sign.
- Assigned — contractors only see signs assigned to them.
- Click Create Event.
Your event is created in Draft status. You can add signs, upload maps, and invite contractors before moving it to Active.
You can change workflow and assignment modes later in event settings.
