Navigating the Dashboard
Learn your way around the Signplanr dashboard — sidebar, event list, org switcher, and quick actions.
The Dashboard is your home base in Signplanr. It gives you an at-a-glance view of all your events and quick access to every feature.
Sidebar navigation
The left sidebar shows your organisation's main areas:
- Events — your event list and summary stats.
- Customers — your organisation's customer library.
- Sign Type Library — your organisation's reusable sign types.
- Settings — organisation settings, members, and billing.
Inside an event
When you open an event, the sidebar switches to that event's own navigation and the organisation items above make way for it. You'll see Overview, Sign types, Maps, Signs, Surveys, Documents, Contractors, Exports, and Activity (Surveys and Exports appear when they're enabled for your plan).
To leave the event, click All Events at the bottom of the event menu (or the logo at the top). You'll return to the dashboard with the organisation items back in the sidebar.
On mobile, tap the hamburger menu to open the sidebar.
Help and support
Click the ? icon in the top-right corner of the page (next to your avatar) to access the Help Centre, report a problem, or relaunch the setup guide.
Event list
The main area shows all events in your organisation, sorted by most recent. Each card shows the event name, dates, status, and a progress summary.
- Click an event card to open it.
- Use the Create Event button to start a new event.
Org switcher
The top of the sidebar shows your current organisation. If you belong to more than one, it becomes a clickable org switcher — select it to move between organisations. If you belong to a single organisation, it's shown as a label.
To create another organisation, go to Settings → Create organisation.
Quick actions
From the dashboard you can:
- Create a new event
- Jump into any existing event
- Access organisation settings
