Managing Multiple Maps
Add multiple maps to an event, reorder them, and delete maps you no longer need.
Events often span several floors, buildings, or zones. Signplanr lets you add as many maps as you need to a single event, so each area has its own dedicated map with its own sign placements.
Adding multiple maps
Each time you click Add Map in the Maps tab, you create a new map for the event. You can mix and match map types — for example, an image map for the indoor site plan and a geo map for the outdoor grounds.
Switching between maps
The Maps tab shows a list of all maps on the left. Click a map name to open it in the editor. The currently active map is highlighted.
Reordering maps
Maps appear in the order you created them by default. To reorder:
- Open the Maps tab.
- Drag a map name up or down in the list to change its position.
- The new order is saved automatically.
The order you set here is the same order contractors see when they open the event.
Renaming a map
Click the three-dot menu next to a map name and select Rename. Enter the new name and press Enter to save.
Deleting a map
- Click the three-dot menu next to the map you want to remove.
- Select Delete.
- Confirm the deletion.
Deleting a map removes all sign placements on that map. The signs themselves are not deleted — they remain in your event's sign list and can be placed on another map.
