Requiring 2FA for Your Organisation

Owners on Business and Enterprise plans can require every organisation member to use two-factor authentication.

On the Business and Enterprise plans, the organisation owner can require every member to protect their account with two-factor authentication (2FA). Once enabled, members can't keep working past the grace period without setting it up.

Turning enforcement on

  1. Go to Settings → Security (owner only).
  2. Tick All members of this organisation must use two-factor authentication.

That's it. Signplanr immediately:

  • Emails every member who hasn't enrolled yet, with the deadline and a setup link.
  • Shows those members a banner in the app for the next 7 days (the grace period).
  • After the deadline, members must complete 2FA setup before they can continue.

The Security page shows how many of your members have enrolled, so you can chase stragglers before the deadline.

Who it applies to

  • Organisation members — owners, admins, and members must all enrol. That includes you.
  • Contractors are not affected. Contractors working your events through the mobile app are not organisation members and are never blocked by this setting. They can still enable 2FA on their own account voluntarily.
  • Members in multiple organisations — if any of a member's organisations requires 2FA, it applies to them everywhere they use Signplanr.

The grace period

Members get 7 days from the moment you enable enforcement. During that window they can keep working normally and see a reminder banner. After the deadline, the next time they use Signplanr they're taken straight to 2FA setup and can't proceed without completing it.

Enrolling takes about a minute and needs only a free authenticator app — see Two-Factor Authentication for the member-facing guide.

Locked-out members

If a member loses their authenticator device:

  1. They can log in with one of their backup codes and re-enrol.
  2. Out of backup codes too? Ask them to contact us at contact@signplanr.com from their account email — we can verify their identity and reset 2FA.

Turning enforcement off

Untick the setting on Settings → Security. Members who already enrolled keep their 2FA (they can disable it individually from their account page); unenrolled members are no longer chased.

If your organisation moves to a plan below Business, enforcement automatically stops applying — members already enrolled keep their personal 2FA.
