Sign Comments

Leave comments on individual signs to communicate between organisers and contractors.

2 min readUpdated February 26, 2026

Comments let organisers and contractors have a conversation about a specific sign, right where the context is. Instead of switching to email or a messaging app, you leave a comment on the sign itself.

Adding a comment

  1. Open the sign detail page (from the Signs tab in your event, or from the sign view in the contractor mobile app).
  2. Scroll to the Comments section at the bottom of the page.
  3. Type your message in the text box.
  4. Click Post.

Your comment appears instantly in the thread, stamped with your name and the current time.

Who can comment

  • Organisers (owners, admins, and members) can comment on any sign in their events.
  • Contractors can comment on signs they have access to — either all signs if the event uses "all" assignment mode, or only their assigned signs in "assigned" mode.

Both roles see the same comment thread. There are no private or role-restricted comments.

Viewing the comment thread

Comments display in chronological order, oldest first. Each comment shows:

  • The author's name and role (organiser or contractor).
  • The timestamp.
  • The comment text.

Open the sign detail page and scroll to Comments to read the full thread.

Use comments to explain a rejection reason, ask for clarification on instructions, or confirm details before installation. Keeping the discussion on the sign means the context is never lost.
