AI Plan Import
If you work on buildings under construction or fit-out, you know the drill: every sign is already marked on the architectural and wayfinding plans, and someone has to recreate all of that in your signage tool, one pin at a time. Not anymore.
Detect signs from plan — Upload a plan as a map and click Detect signs from plan. AI reads the drawing — its legend, sign label chips, and symbols — and proposes a plotted placeholder sign for every marked location.
Review-first, always — Detections arrive as proposal pins on the map, not as signs. Drag to adjust positions, rename, untick anything you don't want, and map detected categories to your sign type library. Nothing is created without your review.
Named from your drawings — Approved signs are created already plotted and named with the drawing's own sign codes, so what's in Signplanr matches what's on the plan set.
Built-in duplicate protection — Detections near signs already plotted on the map are flagged as likely duplicates and unticked by default, so re-running a detection won't double up your work.
From there they're normal signs — add artwork, dimensions, and instructions, assign contractors, and track installation as usual.
AI plan import is available on Business (20 analyses per month) and Enterprise (custom) plans. See the Help Centre guide Detecting Signs from a Plan to get started.
