Installing the App on Your Phone

Install Signplanr on your phone or tablet so requesting signs and reviewing artwork is one tap away.

As a customer you use the same Signplanr mobile app as the installers on site. It works in any mobile browser, but installing it as a Progressive Web App (PWA) puts an icon on your home screen and launches it full screen — handy if you review artwork or approve installs regularly.

You do not have to install anything. Everything in this guide also works from a normal browser tab on your phone, tablet or desktop.

Availability

The customer app is part of the customer portal, included on the Business and Enterprise plans. If you were invited by an organiser, your access is already covered by their plan — there is nothing for you to buy or subscribe to.

On iPhone, use Safari. Apple restricts other iOS browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge) from installing web apps to the home screen. On Android, use Chrome.

Installing on iOS (iPhone / iPad)

  1. Open Safari and go to signplanr.com, then log in.
  2. Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow pointing up).
  3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
  4. Edit the name if you like, then tap Add.

The Signplanr icon appears on your home screen. Tap it to launch the app in full screen.

Installing on Android

  1. Open Chrome and go to signplanr.com, then log in.
  2. Tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner.
  3. Tap Install app (or Add to Home Screen on older versions of Chrome).
  4. Confirm by tapping Install.

Some Android devices show an install banner at the bottom of the screen automatically — tap Install on the banner to skip the menu steps.

Using it on a desktop

If you would rather work on a laptop, just go to signplanr.com and log in there. Reviewing artwork on a bigger screen is often easier, and everything you can do on the phone you can do in a desktop browser.

Submitting a sign request needs an internet connection — it is not available offline. Approvals, photos and comments are safest with a connection too, so try to be in signal or on Wi-Fi when you act on something.

Updating the app

The app updates itself in the background. If it ever feels out of date, close it completely and reopen it.
