Exporting a Design Map PDF and Map Images
Export a map as a PDF pack — cover, plan with labels and colours, colour key and schedule — or save the current view as a PNG.
Two exports live in the map toolbar: Export this map as PDF and Export current view as image.
Export this map as PDF
Click the PDF icon in the map toolbar. The export dialog opens scoped to this map and preset to the view you are looking at.

Click Export Map PDF. The file downloads when it is ready; large plans take a few seconds.
What a Design export contains
- Cover page — event name, dates, organiser, sign counts and the maps in the pack.
- The plan — the map image with every placed sign as a coloured pin and label tag, laid out as in the editor.
- Legend page — a colour key headed Pins coloured by sign type, then the schedule: sign number, Sign ID, name, type, status, assigned contractor and faces. The schedule is sorted by Sign ID (natural order, so
_2comes before_10); signs without an ID follow in sign-number order.
Install exports are unchanged: status-coloured pins with sign numbers and a schedule sorted by sign number.
To export several maps in one PDF, use Map PDF on the event's Exports page and choose the maps and view there.
Export current view as image
Click the image icon in the map toolbar. Signplanr saves a PNG of exactly what is in the viewport — the zoom, the pins, the tags and the legend — with a white background. It downloads immediately with no dialog. Use it for a slide, an email or a chat message.
Availability
Design view and map image export are on every plan. Map PDF export uses PDF export, available on Starter plans and above.
