Reviewing Artwork
Approve artwork, request changes, or reject a design — and see what happens after each.
When the designer has your artwork ready, the sign moves into Artwork review and it lands with you. You look at the proof on your phone and give one of three answers — no email chains, no lost attachments, and a record of who approved what.
Availability
Artwork review is part of the customer portal, included on the Business and Enterprise plans.
Where to find it
Open the sign in the app. The design panel at the top of the sign shows the current stage — for example Design: Artwork review — with a one-line summary of what is happening. When it is your turn you see "Please review the artwork below."
The artwork itself sits below the panel. Tap it to view it full size before you decide.
Your three options

| Approve artwork | You are happy with the design. The organiser is told and can mark the sign ready for print. |
| Request changes | The design is nearly right but needs edits. The designer reworks it and sends it back to you. |
| Reject | The design is not right. The organiser follows up with you directly. |
Approve artwork takes one tap. Request changes and Reject open a panel asking you to explain — that note is what the designer works from.
Your note must be at least 10 characters. The panel counts as you type. "No" is not enough to work with; "The logo needs to be the new green, not the old one" is.
Writing a useful change request
The prompt asks "What needs to change?" — be specific about the thing you want different:
- Wording — "Second line should read Level 2 Reception, not Level 1."
- Colour or brand — "Use the 2026 brand blue, this is the old palette."
- Size or layout — "Arrow needs to point left, and the text should sit under it."
- Something missing — "Accessibility symbol is required on this door."
What happens after you decide
- Approved — "You approved the artwork. The organiser will prepare it for print." Once they mark it Ready for print, the design is locked and no more changes can be made without the organiser reopening it.
- Changes requested — "Your change request was sent — updated artwork is being prepared." You will be asked to review again when the new version arrives.
- Rejected — "You rejected this artwork — the organiser will follow up with you."
There is no limit on rounds. If the second version still is not right, request changes again — every round is recorded on the sign's timeline.
You need a connection
Artwork review needs an internet connection. If you are offline the panel tells you so and the buttons are disabled until you are back online.
