Reviewing Completed Surveys

How to review submitted surveys, view annotations, approve or reject work, and communicate with contractors.

When a contractor submits a completed survey, it appears with Submitted status in your Surveys list. You can then review their work and take action.

Reviewing a submission

  1. Open the event and navigate to the Surveys tab.
  2. Click on a survey with Submitted status.
  3. Review the survey detail page:
    • Photos — both your reference photos and the contractor's field photos are shown. Photos with annotations display an overlay. Click any photo for a full-screen view with annotation details.
    • Source badges — "Reference" for organiser-uploaded photos, "Field" for contractor-added photos.
    • Per-photo notes — the contractor may have added notes to individual photos.
    • Overall notes — the contractor's general observations.
    • Completed by — which contractor completed the survey and when.

Approving

Click Mark as Reviewed to approve the submission. The survey status changes to Reviewed. This is a final state — the survey is complete.

Rejecting

Click Reject to send the survey back to the contractor for revisions. You can optionally enter a rejection reason explaining what needs to change.

When rejected:

  • The contractor sees a rejection banner with your reason.
  • The survey unlocks for editing — the contractor can modify annotations, add photos, and resubmit.
  • The survey status changes to Rejected.

Comments

Use the comments section to discuss the survey with the contractor. Both organisers and contractors can post comments at any time, regardless of survey status.
